OMG-the terrible 2s are really getting on my nerves!!!!!!
Some days I cant take it. She drives me crazy. She says NO constantly and cries every time she doesnt get her way. The I feel like a bad mommy because Im not giving her what I want.
This morning she absolute refused to put her socks, shoes and coat on to go to Grandma's. She was crying and carrying on like we were hurting her.
DD isnt even 2 yet (she is 22 months). Does this last through her whole second year? This age is so trying. Please tell me I am not alone. She has become such a brat!!!!

It won't last forever and it is very normal. It is her way of expressing her independence. In the longrun it is a good thing for her to be able to do this, but for you it basically stinks!
The two's in my house weren't all that bad...we said we didn't have the terrible two's we had the e f f in three's!!
Just stand your ground and eventually it will subside. Do you give her choices? I know the morning is so rushed, but if you put out two pairs of socks and shoes and let her choose, maybe that will help?

dd is like that too, she spends most days crying out of frustration. It is tough, but it will pass.

I could have written this post myself!! Everything is NO! Especially when I try to get her dressed or put her diaper on. She has even said no then hit me, she bit me and my husband once( when not getting her way I worry that something is wrong with her. I try time out, etc and I don't feel like it is helping. I feel like a terrible mother.

OMG, don't I know it, and my DS is not even 20 months yet. He wears me out most days when I'm with him. He just whines and cries all the time. Last night I was trying to put up our Christmas tree and of course he wanted the ornaments and every time I told him no, he threw himself on the ground in an all out fit. This lasted FOREVER.... I know how you feel, this mommy thing is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life...

No, see you ARE a good mom because you're not giving her what she wants...IMO anyway. What kind of a lesson does it teach if you would give in every time she cries...you'd probably be raising a monster!
My DD was like that--in fact, she's 3 years and 3 months now and it's even WORSE than last year. Nevertheless, I take it day by day and know that she's 3 (or she's 2) and surely next year will be better...and if not, there's always the year after that!
