omg...i just watched a natural child birth online
and i almost passed out! how the heck am i gonna do this? i got queasy just watching i dont even wanna know how freaked out im gonna be the day of! why oh why did not look away?!

i had my hands on my head in freak out mode lol.
DH walked into the room cause he heard the woman screaming and went "OMG turn it off turn it off!!" he got mad at me for watching cause he knew i was freaking myself out lol!

i watched tons of youtube child birth videos, the business of being born and anything else i could find......... but reality is unless you get the big mirror you are not going to see it, but boy boy are you going to feel it

Before I had Abby I watched both a vaginal birth and a c-section on you tube. They are both pretty tough to bear. It was then I decided to have her beamed out. I called Scotty.

You will be okay. I know it looks horrendous but just think about how many women give birth daily. At least we live in a society where pain relief is not taboo. I am on my second and all I can say is, "bring on the epidural." For me, it was wonder drug.

WEll the good thing about being the one giving birth, is that you really don't see much of it.
I can't stomach those shows, i'm just so glad that i dont remember seeing much with my DD.

Really, if you are squeamish, you should do yourself a favor and not watch it. You will have all kinds of crazy images running through your head after it. And of course, watching that one birth does not mean that your birth will be anything like it.

I love to torture my self and watch that stuff, but all I've done so far is watch baby story so they don't show much. I'm still terrified of giving birth even though my first one was natural and not too bad at all. DH is the one that can't stand those things, I can't even mention the word placenta in front of him - There is a big possibility that he may not be in for the birth -even if he ends up feeling up to it, if he freaks out I don't want him there, my mother would do a better job.

totally agree. no need to watch it if it will freak you out. your time will come, and the baby will come out. and then it will be over, you'll hold your baby in your arms and the birth will all be a distant memory...
