OMG...I'm finally doing it!!! (with a before pic) I DID IT!!! UPDATED PICS!!!!!!!!
I am a highlight virgin. 
I have NEVER EVER put any sort of color into my hair...except for Sun-In and Pizazz in the 80's. 
I finally made the appointment for next Thursday at 9:30 am!!  
Here's the before pic...don't mind the stupid face...my brother and I were playing America's Next Top Model when he took the pics. 
Before:
Now...what color highlights do you think I should get? I'm thinking of caramel.

AFTER:
When she first put the color...it was SOOOO blond...I almost died. Thyen she puit a toner on it and it went more towards caramel.
I really like how it came out. Gives a lot of dimension. My hair is naturally VERY curly, but she blew it out.
Looks different in different light too. These pics were taken in my basement...please don't mind the mess around me...it's my "party favor work zone".
Outside, my hair looks a little redder/ caramel-y.
But...what do you think?

val i have your same hair color and my hairdresser suggested caramel as well. so i would go with that. btw, i was lol when you said sun in. I used to use that also

The color is hard to see in the pics. It's much lighter in person.
I went to David Christopher's Hair Designs in Franklin Square.
If you go...ask for Denise. She's my friend...and she is AWESOME.
