On Tuesday I had first sono....Updated Friday
I was 6w1d. The internal sono showed no heartbeat.  The PA was nasty and said "you have a 50/50 chance of having non viable pregnancy" I feel like that was a bit hastey since I am still so early on.
The sono tech stunk and needed help as she was obviously still "learning". She couldn't even find my left ovary!  The tech that was helping her at one point said "there's a heartbeat" and I said "really?" and she said "oh no, I think the machine is just picking up some noise"
I go back tomorrow for another sono.
Please send all  my way for a heartbeat tomorrow!!
****Slight update with a vent....*****
So my OB office (more specifically a PA) called me tonight to go over the blood work results from Tuesday. She said my HCG level was 30,000 which is a little high to not have seen the fetal pole or heartbeat. I explained that I thought the sono tech was new and couldn't find my left ovary. So she said the repeat sono tomorrow will really determine a lot. But in the meantime my progesterone was very low and she is calling in a script for me to shoot a lube type thing up my vajayjay nightly.
I am just so confused about all of this. I never had any of these issues with my DS. Got pregnant. Went for sono at 8 weeks. Everything looked great. Smooth sailing pregnancy for the most part.
Part of me is infuriated that I am even going to this practice. This is not what I wanted. I went on a recommendation for a midwife of the practice. I have told numerous people that is who I want to deal with. Yet not once have I even spoken to her, let a lone seen her. And you know what. Forget the midwife. At what point will I actually see or speak to a friggin DOCTOR?!?! What is with this PA sh!t?!
FRIDAY UPDATE ....
Well, still no heartbeat. I am 6w4d and they do not believe the yolk sack has even grown since my sono on Tuesday.
They want me to schedule a D&C for next week. I am holding off for a bit to see if I will miscarry naturally.
Thanks for all the prayers girls. Looks like this one just may not have meant to be.

6w1d is still borderline to see a heartbeat.. maybe you ovulated later than you think and are a few days earlier.
Lots of prayers that you see a heartbeat tomorrow!!!

I cant believe how rude she was. 6 w is still is very early to see a HB. I went at 6w3d and no HB, then the following week at 7w 3d a strong HB...Now I am almost 25 weeks. So you are still prob jsut early, I wouldnt worry.
Lot's of prayers for a strong HB!!!!

I agree with the other posters, that is still early to see a heartbeat, some see it, some don't. I think that's why many drs refuse to do sonos until later around 8 weeks. Don't lose hope just yet.
I hate that the sono tech was so rude and nasty, that doesnt make the situation any better.
I'll keep you in my prayers. Think positive

i am so sorry tou got such an awful tech! i agree with the girls it could go either way at 6 weeks as for seeing the heartbeat
lots of that tom goes much better!

I had a sono at 6w2d, and the sono tech told me it was very slow...BUT that that was because the heart probably just started beating the day before.
So don't worry yet, it could have been just a little too early.

i would have asked for the doctor to come in bc obviously this b!tch has no idea what bedside manners are. i really do hope you complained about her attitude!!

Wow, what an incredibly insensitive and rude tech...Its still a little early for the HB, I heard mine I think at week 7 or 8, a lot can change from week to week as you will soon see. Good Luck.

Sorry, thats ridiculous !
I was at my sono at 6w1d and had a yolk and sac and my tech ( at my RE's office) said that was perfect...
At 7w, it was 135 !
Same with my other 2 DC's ...never ever saw a HB that early

Thanks girls!! I know with my first I didn't have a sono until 8 weeks. And by that time not only did we see the HB but we also heard it.
I knew in my head not to take anything they said to me to heart. But it took me 2 days to convince my heart that everything was ok hence why I waited to post.
I am just really really praying everything goes right tomorrow!!

Stay positive-at 6 weeks its hard to see a heartbeat. My first sono was 6w4d and it was very hard to see.

at 6 weeks all I had was an empty sac. Only 6 days later I had a yolk sac and baby with a heart beat that was then measuring 7 weeks 4 days!

do you mean Crinone ? If so - I was on that for a few weeks and it was no big deal. The one thing my dr. explained to me is that while it DOES raise your progesterone it might NOT show up in repeat bloodwork - in other words, if your BW is showing low progesterone and you use the crinone for a week or so and repeat the BW it might not show as much of a rise in progesterone as there really is.
6w1d is somewhat early to see a HB sometimes - especially if you don't know EXACTLY when you ovulated and you are strictly going by your LMP. Maybe you ovulated a few days later then the "normal" day 14? A few days this early in a pregnancy would definitely mean not seeing a HB or seeing a HB.
