Once you open a bottle of soda - how long do you keep it in the fridge?
I can't stand having open soda for more than 5 days - DH will still drink it as long as there are some bubbles in it 2 weeks later

If I get the bottled ones and after 5 days if I haven't finished it the rest I get rid of. Its flat by then to me, but I'm not a big soda drinker anyway.
I will keep gingerale at home, but I get it in cans.

I agree. After that it's pretty much flat. I also find that after you open a bottle, if you store it laying down on its side, it loses its carbonation even faster...though I did not conduct any scientific experiments to prove that 
ETA: Lately the DW and I only buy these
They are much easier as far as recycling. You don't worry about it going flat after you've opened it. I find that soda tastes best from a glass bottle. It's also so much more fun to drink out of the glass bottle. I also don't find myself pouring (bad) giant glasses of soda anymore.

me too, an open bottle of soda only lasts a couple of days. I live on soda (sadly)

If it's regular soda (for DH) it will be gone before it's flat
If it's diet (for me) I usually end up throwing it out after a week. I hardly drink soda and if I buy a 2 liter bottle for myself, I never finish it before it goes flat.

I only buy cans because I don't drink a lot of soda. I usually prefer Gatorade when I am thirsty. I only have soda with dinner.
If I buy a 2 liter i'll have maybe one glass and by the time I am ready for the second glass a few days later its flat already.
A 12 pack of cans can last me as much as three weeks.

I usually buy DH the cans since he is the same way. But we have a bottle of ginger ale in the fridge that he's nursing. I just realized it's been open for 2 weeks now and I got a HUGE ick factor thing that hit me when I realized it

As long as it's not flat I'll still drink it. I've learned that if I close the cap tight that it will stay longer.

That's why we buy cans! I can't keep a 2-L bottle of soda more than a day! I hate when it's not fresh and super carbonated!

ETA: We rarely do have bottles of soda in the fridge. We usually have the 12 pack cans.
