1000 x infinity apologies Xelyndria.

Nah.. not necessary only that I'm not misunderstood. Thats all I ask. I get this is passionate subject. I can not wrong ANYONE for getting angry or taking a stance or making assumptions.. It goes with it.

I apologize to YOU for not being more clear. I have no excuse for that. Its a work and work thing you could say but thats a weak defense against the idea if you WANT to say something, say it fully.

I just lost it when the idea of cats vs guns came up. Since I'm passionate about both.

Besides.. how can I not forgive the woman who's bodily function posts on Preggo board saved me so many "im losing it" days I lost count! Chat Icon (unless im being stupid again and got the wrong user id)

Either way. We're good.

Re: One Million Moms

I want to thank everyone for your interest in this group and this issue! Thanks Colette for answering all the questions!! I was busy at work today and on the facebook site so I didnt get to check in here until now. I hope that we can get a lot of support. This is a very moderate group. We are not looking to ban all guns, just assault weapons and high capacity magazines. We are trying to spread the word and educate the public. The goal is to help influence legislation that will make the world a safer place for all of our children. If you haven't already please check out and like the facebook page. There are chapters in Nassau, Queens, Brooklyn and Westchester and I believe one is being started in Suffolk.

FYI: The campaign that has begun is for the entire month of January to spread the word locally and to our legislators that Moms Demand Action. Use sidewalk chalk or create a sign and put it...anywhere!! Take a pic and post it to the facebook page. I plan on putting a sign in my car as well. Spread the word!!!!

Re: One Million Moms for Gun Control

I'am not on here to cause trouble.. As for the gun show lope hole, has anyone ever been to a gunshow and tried to buy a gun there?? As a mother, gun owner, and gun show worker, it is not as easy to get a gun a gun show as you all make it seem. My husband does gun shows as a side job (to clarify we DO NOT sell guns, he works on a specific gun and deals with alot of LE) we do shows in NY,CT, VA,PA,Mass,NH.. Me and my children have done gun shows with him(if it wasnt safe my kids would never set foot inside a gun show) There are background checks to buy guns, if someone from out of state comes they can not buy a gun.. As for high cap magizines and semi auto guns, what will a ban do? Stop the sale of them for what 10 years, it does not take them off the streets,if you own something before the ban, then its pre-ban and you are still allowed to have it.. I have 2 boys who at this point could careless about guns, they where taught the right way about guns, between my DH and myself and through our privite gun range ran by retired police officers. Yes my kids have shot guns. Our guns are locked up and the ammo locked up someplacew else. They used to love hanging out with daddy and shooting, but after awhile the novilty wears off. trust me Im not heartless my heart breaks everyday, Columbine, the movie theater, Sandy Hook..I think that more information needs to be out there, and the crack down should be the people selling guns out of the truck of their car. Also there should be education about gun saftey, my boys would never be able to get ahold of any of our guns(because of the way they are locked up).. Education is key.. Im not a fan of high cap magizines if you cant shoot an intruder with 10 rounds then you really should have a gun in the first place, there is no reason to have 40 round mag to shoot an intruder... that is my two cents on this topic.. Please no flaming or hate mail, just giving my 2 cents and some small facts..
