Re: One of the Most Interesting Blind Items I've Read...

OK, I think it's DEFINITELY J. Lo.

Benny Medina...her "svengali" is credited as songwriter on her albums.

She fired him for a bit when trying to "clean up her image"...

And I totally buy the story of him trying to "sell his songs"...

Wasn't Christina Milian complaining that her voice, recorded on the demo (since she wrote the song) was not removed from the final version of one of J. Lo's songs ("Play") and it was played on the radio with her voice.

Anyway, this is interesting...

Gwen has been in a band since she was a teenager though-- I do remember her performing at the superbowl a couple years ago and she was terrible

Re: One of the Most Interesting Blind Items I've Read...

Christina - no, she's sung live, no? Little girl, big voice...

Pink - Chat Icon

Macy Gray - not nig enough for anyone to care...although, I believe that she went gold

Bjork - Chat Icon

Aaliah - she was around WAY before 2001. And it's not her. RIP! Chat Icon

Introduced to audiences by R&B singer R. Kelly, Aaliyah became famous in her own right during the mid-1990s with several hit records from the songwriting/production team of Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott and Timbaland, and their associate Steve "Static" Garrett.

Notable for recording several hit records, including several number one R&B hits, a number one pop hit, and nine top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, Aaliyah sold 40 million records worldwide during her career

Toni Braxton - again, 90's huge star

Britney - could defintiely be!

Alicia Keys - could also be. I think I've heard her live. But isn't the story that the person has sung "live"? I think she can sing though. And yes, I would be shocked if it's her.

Nikka Costa - Macy Gray sit. Does anyone care enough? I think she's gold too.

Dido - She's British.

Eve - Can't stand her. Could care less. She's a rapper though. So I don't think it's her.

Gwen - No way. 90's...hello, No Doubt!!

j Lo - I still think it's HER!

Missy Elliot - nah

Re: One of the Most Interesting Blind Items I've Read...

J Lo would floor the entertainment industry cause she is such a big star-- and the only times I have seen her lately singing is with her dirty husband-- he can prob cover for her.

She is my guess-- based on my research.

AND she would definitely be a B*TCH to someone signing for her- if she wasn't hot enough for her standards.

ETA-- when her album came out-- they made a big deal bout her hving the #1 album and the #1 movie-- Wedding Planner-- gotta look up when that movie came out...

2001

Bjork is way to unique in her voice.

The only reason it couldn't be JLO bc I don't remember her on any commercials. I remember Jessica Simpson doing proactive and I think Brittney did too.

Here is another response from the lawyer:

OK..wow..so many comments yesterday and I know everyone is dying for a clue..but a couple things need to be said..This really happened just as I said it did..However, I am also not a complete idiot and not only do I have an attorney client privilege with my client, BUT there was also a settlement agreement that was confidential which I cannot violate as well...THEREFORE, I have taken certain precautions such as using the year 2000 as a starting point..In addition, I am very vague when I use times such as several weeks or months....It would not be fair to my client or the other parties involved or ethical to be any more specific in this situation..

In my other stories, there is less blindness and the persons can be guessed with some degree of accuracy..but I would never confirm those guesses unless my client waived the attorney client privilege..

It's J. Lo.

And I doubt she'll come out with another album now!

No, MV...

MV was everywhere..on television, radio, awards shows, commercials..EVERYWHERE..

OK, aren't there entertainment lawyers here? HELP!!

I think it's someone with a "big voice"...I mean, honestly, as much as I think it's J. Lo...her voice isn't the best.

I am still going for Beyonce, she is very successful, and has done commercials etc

Is it possible that when they say she was live she wasn't?

Wasn't she just on Oprah?

And Beyonce was in Destiny's Child. I think she can sing.

She was live at the Oscars too.

My guess is either Britney or JLo, I never thought either of them could sing but their albums did well.

I still think it could be either one of them (even though I totally forgot about Britney's Star Search appearance).

I don't think it would be Pink only because of the reaction:

MV was rude to say the least when she saw what S looked like and it really upset me although S being her normal classy self could have cared less..

That would be COMPLETELY inconsistent with the image Pink portrays.

Wow what a juicy one...

Let's see can't be Britney because it says that "S" is a good singer. Plus Britney's been around since she was a little kid.

Shouldn't be J.Lo for the same reason... but that is one that would floor everyone because she is so big... and I could see her being rude to the person...

Pink definitely came to mind because of the big difference in her albums but it doesn't fit what I see as her personality to do something like this...

Mandy Moore, Lindsay Lohan, Hillary Duff, any of those - who cares... no one would be floored...

Jessica Simpson on the other hand... always sounds fake when she is supposedly "live" (has she ever been?)or any performance she does for that matter... and that would help explain her way over exagerated mouth movements when singing... and her 2nd album did way better than her first... and her songs are definitely shopped for...

I guess Jessica Simpson.
