Onesies or side snap undershirts?
I think I read somewhere that you should use the side snap undershirts on a newborn but I can't remember why. I think it had to do with the umbilical cord stump. Is anyone getting some side snap undershirts?

I think you're supposed to use side-snap shirts b/c onesies can irritate the healing cord stump. That and it's probably easier to maneuver a newborn into clothes while avoiding moving their head. I'm getting both onesies and undershirts; babies go through a few outfit changes every day anyway!

When my DD was a NB we used regular onesies and zip up feetie PJ's by Carters and she was fine. I don't think it really matters in all honesty what you put them in. Everything is usually pretty loose and baggy anyway so the material isn't generally going to irritate them.
