Opinion Needed-re scheduling non TTC testing
Okay, this is a follow up to my other post. I am a temper and charter and my LP looks to be 16 days, so I can somewhat estimate when AF would be here if she comes this month.
I need a bone density scan and my back is bad again, which means I will need another lumbar epidural. Both procedures require x-ray. My OB advised me that I should not do either unless I know for sure that I am not preggo.
So, I was thinking, should I make appointments tomorrow when I think AF will be here, or should I wait it out. My gut is telling me get the appointments, especially because the epi is done in the hospital.
Also, I just realized that my annual might be around AF-that needs to definitely be moved, right?

i would make the appt now for when you think AF might arrive. Just in case..this way you dont wait weeks down the road to get an appt.
i'll be doing that monday with the new female GYN i have a # for. I want to call and schedule an appt for after AF shows (if it does) b/c i want to switch from the morons i've been dealing with.
out here it takes weeks to get an appt..especially with female drs
Good luck!

I'd make the appointments - you can always cancel!

Re: Opinion Needed-re scheduling non TTC testing
If it were me, YES I would make these important appointments. If you don't get AF, and worry that you might be PG, take a HPT right before the appointments.
I do not think that you should sacrafice these appointments in the name of TTC. If you are definitely pg, that's a different story.

I think you are completely right-going to make both tomorrow! And I am going to call and reschedule the OB because they can't do an annual if I have AF.
Thanks for the very sound advice. A healthy baby needs a healthy mama!

I just went through this also with my back. I ended up getting 3 epi shots done 2 weeks apart since I never got mt bfp. Now I am happy because my back feels much better.
