Opinions, please
I'm trying to get away with not having to buy another dress for a wedding. But, honestly, is this dress too bridesmaids-y to wear to a wedding? Bear in mind, mine is shorter - not as short as a mini dress but short.

Any idea what the actual bridesmaids are wearing that day?

Yes. Their dresses are totally different from this. They are chiffon and hot pink.

Opinions, please
I do think it's bridesmaidy (sorry, I feel like that's not what you want to hear).

It is a bit bridesmaid-y..but I think you could still pull it off.

Re: Opinions, please
If it is shorter than the models, like way above the knee and you add some great statement jewelry, like chandelier earrings and a chunky bracelet, you can totally pull it off!

Re: Opinions, please
I do think its slightly bridesmaidy, but unless you were it with dyed to match shoes or something I think you can get away with it.

That's okay because you are just saying what I'm thinking.
Thanks, ladies. I was thinking if I got some non-bridesmaids-y statement jewelry like some of you suggested I could probably pull it off because the dress comes to probably my mid-thigh.

Since the dresses are so different I don't see any reason not to wear it. You are not going to be compared to them.

Re: Opinions, please
Definitely think you can pull it off with the jewelry.
If it was long I think it would look too bridesmaid-y.

Re: Opinions, please
It's fine, wear it! The only reason I'd think it was bridesmaid-y is because you mentioned it... otherwise if I saw somebody wearing this at a wedding, I wouldn't think anything of it.

It is pretty bridesmaidy but I think if it were much shorter it would be ok. I do think you can wear it though. It's not like you're wearing white, which I think is the only big no-no for going to a wedding. People won't be standing around whispering "Look at her, she's trying to upstage the bridesmaids!"

My friend just bought a dress like that. Is that from Macy's? She wore it to a wedding. It was in the dress section and we honestly never thought twice about it looking like a bridesmaid, I guess because it was with all the other fancy dress types. She looked great. I'd say wear it.

It is from Macy's but from the bridal salon.
I was trying on a dress at a different store and my mother said it looked just like my BM dress and it did! That's what made me think I could try and pull it off. After trying it on again this weekend and trying to put on jewelry I decided not to wear it. 1. I forgot the top didn't fit me that great by the end of the night (the dress stretched and it was falling) and 2. I don't have time to get that altered.
Thanks for the opinions ladies!
