I have an Eddie Bauer but every time I tell someone they look at me like  They're not rated very well. Anyway, I decided to get a new one and got the Graco ComfortSport. DS is really comfortable in it, it was rated really well, and it's not expensive at all.

My sis worked for BRU and her advice is always: leave Eddie Bauer to making clothing - don't buy baby gear because of the name!
I also just bought the Graco Comfortsport and so far so good!

I also have the comfortsport, I have to say it did take DD a while to get used to it, but she seems ok now, it is just so much more upright than the snugride/infant seat.

That's what we have for DH's car but we have yet to use it. We're getting it installed next week if you want to wait for my review.

We absolutely LOVE our Eddie Bauer. I am so happy I spent the extra $$$ to get it instead of a cheap one. I like that it is convertible and it goes up to, I think, 80 pounds. We have gotten our use out of it for sure. We are currently using it as a booster seat for DS. Also it washes up really great in the washing machine. I can not count how many times I have washed it and it held up like it were brand new.
Edited to add....I read all the consumer reparts about the seat and chose to buy it anyway. Not because of the name but at the time I bought it and compared it to tother carseats it seemed to be better quality. The fabric seemed more heavy and also it was very well designed in my opinion.

I've read alot of bad reviews on the Eddie Bauer but to be honest with you my nephew has it and I love it. I never once had a problem using it and he loves it too. I'm most likely going to get one for for my baby when the time comes.

Britax has several that go to 80 lbs.

Britax has several that go to 80 lbs.
i have the britax for my car, but I didn't want to spend 300$ again x 2. We just don't have that money right now and DH needs the seats to bring them to daycare in a couple of weeks.

Baby Bargains only gives the EB seat a D in their ratings.
According to BB - it is poorly designed, hard to use and expensive. Also - the EB and the Alpha Omega are the exact same seat, just marketed under different names.

The only bad review that comes to mind right now is people saying thier babys legs got pinched when they buckled it...but I don't ever remember having that problem with my nephew.
