OPK Test Question
So for the past 5 months, DH and I have just been winging it. I use a period tracker on my phone to guess when I should be ovulating and try to listen to my body's signals, but to no avail. So this month I purchased OP strips- Wondfo to be exact. By my calendar, I should be ovulating on Sunday. I just took my first OPK and there was a faint line. I checked the instructions because I suck at reading these things and it said a faint line is a negative. In your experience, is there always a faint line or does that mean I should be ovulating any day now? I'm going to continue testing each day in the afternoon, but I just want to know what to expect. I know a lot of people talk about the lines getting darker day by day and then disappearing the next and just missing their ovulation days altogether so I don't want that to happen! TIA!

OPK Test Question
I never used the line tests because I knew I'd never be able to tell if the line was as dark or darker. But I always started testing about day 12. I had a regular 28 day cycle and O'd smack in the middle of the cycle.

OPK Test Question
With wondfo opks there will always be a line. It's only a positive when the test line is as dark or darker than the control line. In the beginning and you're not quite sure, double check using the clear blue smiley. You should only have to use them once or twice a cycle so it saves money bc those are a lot more expensive.
As for the lines getting darker, then lighter. Not always. Depends on how concentrated your urine is, time of day, and the test strip and the amount of dye.

Ahh that's exactly what I needed to know! Thank you so much! It was a very dark line today so there's no mistaking it was positive. I've been taking it at the same time each day so hopefully that helps with accuracy.
ETA: If it doesn't happen for us this month, I'm going to get the clear blue smileys for next month. Hopefully I won't need to though!
