opks as hpts
Has anyone ever used a opk as a hpt? If so will you get a positive result on an opk if you are pg? AF is due tomorrow and my HPT was neg. but I got a very dark positive on my opk. I don't understand why that would be when my LH surge should have been a while ago. TIA for any help girls. I am new at this.
Good luck and much baby dust to you all!!!

NO, no and no....everyone everywhere has told me never to use an opk as an hpt! You are better off waiting a day or two and using a dollar store hpt to test.
Sorry if I sound so adamant, I have just seen people get very disappointed about this.

Re: opks as hpts
I wouldn't recommend it, but yes, opks do show up positive when you are pregnant. HOWEVER, THEY MAY NOT BE ACCURATE IF YOU DON'T KNOW IF YOU ARE ALREADY PREGNANT. If that makes sense. Get an equate test from walmart, usually there are no if's, ands or buts about that test :)
I hope you get that bfp :)

Re: opks as hpts - another question
Sorry to reply to an old thread, but I read peeonastick.com about this today. It is clear that if you get a positive OPK, there is no certainty that you are pregnant. However, it also seems to indicate that if you get a negative on an OPK, then you are definitely NOT pregnant. Is this the case? Even if you JUST implanted, shouldn't an OPK be positive?
