Oreo truffles recipe question
the recipe i have calls for 45 oreos divided. 9 to crush for rolling finished truffles in and the rest for the recipe.
to those who have made this, you just crush the oreo cookies including the cream filling. like im not supposed to separate the cookies right? Just crush them up?

Re: Oreo truffles recipe question
I haven't tried this recipe yet, but yes I'm still planning on crushing it with the cream.

i dont have a food processor. can i just crush these in a blender?
maybe i'll just put them in a baggie and use a rolling pin.

This will work, just be sure to get it as fine as possible.
And these truffles are so good. I'll be making them for a party this Friday

I actually did both! I have a magic bullet, so I used that for some and then used the rolling pin for others. and yes, use the cream too! Yummy!

i've made them a couple of times. i have always used a large ziploc bag and a rolling pin. they turn out great every time... and i throw the WHOLE cookie in.

Re: Oreo truffles recipe question
I find double stuff to be the way to go.
You can crush them either way - in a food pro, you will end up with smaller pieces, less chunky and more creamy. So it works either way, just depends on what you prefer.
I am making these next week too!
