Organic moms with kids in daycare

DS is moving up to the walking room They serve AM/PM snacks and lunch in that room. None of the food served is organic.

I am struggling with what to do here because in all honesty it would make my life so much simpler if he ate their food. I am thinking of supplying organic snacks and milk and letting him eat whatever lunch they have.

What did everyone else do?

DD is at a babysitter not a daycare center. I let her eat most of the food there but I do supply organic milk, yogurt and fruit like apples and pears. It really isn't that too much of a hassle.

There is an all organic girl in DS' class - her mom brings her in food but, she's allowed to eat the snacks.

There are some foods they serve that I won't let DD eat, and so I pack her lunch. No milk or juice from school, too - she just drinks water. I try to pack one snack daily, as school gives a lot of sweets for snacks (I give DD fruit or veggies instead).

I send in my own organic milk and fruit, but I let the idea of organic meats & veggies go. He eats a balanced meal, and when at home eats all organic. I don't stress about it anymore!

ETA: I limit his snacks at daycare too. Nothing sugary.... They're fine with honoring my requests.

Cailen is vegetarian. I sent in organic milk until he was three, and lunch and snacks until they had more vegetarian options. Now at 4 I'm comfortable sending him with nothing knowing he has vegetarian food, and the one or two cups of nonorganic milk I feel will be ok. He only has organic at home.....
