Orlando car rental advice needed
We'll be flying into the Orlando airport in March and need to rent a car. We are bringing our car seat, how will we get DD to the car? Are there any car rental companies that don't require you to take a shuttle? Can you secure a car seat on a shuttle?

Orlando international we just walked like 2 seconds and the rental cars were right there. So you dont have to take the shuttle. We bought our own carseat also... we got a car from alamo

We fly there a lot, and Alamo consistently has the lowest rates, so I usually rent from them. They are right in the airport.

Re: Orlando car rental advice needed
Check out mousesavers They have codes for all the rental companies in orlando - they will show you how to mix them to get the best price.
I know Alamo, National, L&M and a few others are on property - BUT there are several that are off property - but mousesavers will tell you which ones are off so you don't book those by accident.
It is really simple - we usually book with national - and have gotten better rates when we have traveled - but we will book with whoever is on property with the best rate. In the past when we used national you just get your bags walk across to the parking garage where they are all located and (if you do emerald aisle) you just walk to the right aisle and pick a car and put your bags in and drive to the check out gate. You don't have to go to the counter.
If you go with Alamo - just be aware people on some other boards have complained of push sales tactics to get you to get insurance - by telling you that your insurance policy won't cover it. So know what is covered by your auto insurance and if anything is covered with your credit card or travel insurance so you don't pay for things that aren't needed.

We just used Dollar and the counter was in the building and you walked across to the parking garage to get the car. Very close.

We usually use Dollar but the prices were incredibly high for March (that is when we are going also) We found National to be the cheapest and I had a coupon to make it even cheaper. A lot of them are right in the airport.

Alamo car rental you can walk to it from the airport ( if I remember correctly it's actually in the air port) but I do know I walked to it.
