Our baby boy will be here tomorrow morning!
Can't believe the day is finally here! Tomorrow morning at 11am, he will be here! So anxious to meet him and so much anxiety over the c-section but am so glad to finally meet our little guy!
15 hours!!
ETA: It's SO weird seeing 0 days on my coundown!! My LAST day to be pregnant and feel him move around....so surreal!

Re: Our baby boy will be here tomorrow morning!
I'm so happy the wait will be over for you!!!!! Good luck and lots of health and happiness!!!
Just to give you an idea of what to expect since I'm fresh off my c-section...
For me, it was more "weird" than painful. I felt like a tube of toothpaste that someone was trying to squeeze the last bit out of. (Hearing the doc say, "this kid is a monster" as I was lying on the table was encouraging, too. lol). I never felt PAIN, but I felt activity. And the only time it bothered me was when I let my mind think about what was going on. DH kept distracting me, which helped.
I had a spinal block before the c-section, which was done with me sitting on the (tiny) operating table. I probably was more fearful of that than the actual c-section - but that turned out to be fine. I had a GREAT anasthesiologist who was very calming.
Another weird thing was that no one really "talked" me through the procedure. In hindsight, it was probably better off NOT knowing what was going on, but it was weird lying there having all these people working on me and not being in the loop. Once DH came in the room, they just started doing their thing. DH was so surprised that I even made a little joke when they pulled the baby out at 3:07pm that he came out for the beginning of People's Court (one of my fav shows... lol). So, I couldn't have been in that much pain!
The recovery room was weird because I was alone for awhile while DH was with our son, but he kept coming into me to show me pics of our boy. They gave me the pain meds and Motrin, which helped. I felt very crampy and nauseous, but never threw up. I think I was only in the recovery room for about 1 1/2 hours.
Recovery NOW kind of sucks because I STILL have my staples in. But I was only on the serious meds for a day or so. Now I just keep taking Motrin for cramps. And - what was surprising to me - I'm SWOLLEN from all the fluids I got during the c-section and in recovery. My feet look like the Klump family. INSANE. I never swelled during the pregnancy, but this is ridiculous. Feet to knees and random other parts are just swollen. But, they say that's normal and should last about 2 weeks.
So, maybe that will help give you an idea of what to expect. Not to bad in the pain department... just a lot in the "weird" department!
LOTS of LUCK!
You get to meet your baby tomorrow!

Thanks! This is my 2nd c-section so I remember the nightmare from my 1st, im hoping this one is better than my last c-section. I remember the spinal block fondly, the nurse who saw me about to freak out and shoved my head between her boobs, rubbed my head and told me it would be ok , never forget that nurse! I hope your recovery gets a little easier, I don't remember swelling after.
