Our family got some sad news yesterday
My one brother is getting married on July 27th. He knew our our brother mike was set to leave for Iraq in August so they planned the wedding for right before he left.
Well plans changed...my brother now departs on July 26th. How is that for really awful luck? My poor mom....and brother..he was best man...this just stinks. It is what it is, it just will feel emptier without him there

I don't think so...they are pretty strict with departure dates. I don't think he would even ask, they were told this is what it is...I WISH he could leave 2 days later, but they can't start making exceptions for 1 person...

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear this!
to your brother that he returns quickly and safely.
I know it's not the same thing, but 4 days before my wedding I found out my maid of honor couldn't come. It stinks, but the day was still wonderful!

I am so sorry!
My BIL is set to deploy to Iraq later this year and SIL is due with their first child 10/16. Originally, he was suppossed to go on 8/1, but there are talks of a deployment date of 11/1. We are praying that he can be here for the birth of the baby, but you never know.
