Our first emergency room trip- Sorry LONG!
So we head out to a birthday party at My Gym yesterday. DD LOVES this place and we were really looking forward to it. We have been to many parties there and they are usually fun. But this one just lacked something- the party guy really didn't do any activities so the kids started getting bored and acting out. They are all around 3-5 except my DD and another girl who was two. My DD and her little friend are nicely playing on the trampoline when a 5 year jumps in really hard and throws them to the ground to the middle. My DD starts screaming. Then I pick her up, comfort her and put her down. She crumples to the ground. I was terrified that she broke her neck and is paralyzed(sp?). I am trying not to get hysterical but I have this fear feeling in the pit of my stomach. Other mom's rush over, and reassure me that she just hurt her foot. She continues to fall down every time she tries to stand but we stay for pizza and cake since we figure we will be in the emergency room for hours.
Fast forward to the emergency room- lots of x-rays later they determine it was a bad sprain. I have never been so relieved. And I learned a new thing- kids can get bad sprains, it doesn't mean they are crippled for life.

Oh, I'm so sorry. This sounds terrible, but at least it's just a sprain. I hope he recovers quickly!

Thanks everyone! I really thought she broke her neck or something- I never have seen her lose the ability to walk- it freaked me out.
Still so sad to see her limp today!

She was SOOO good- luckily she was full of cake and pizza and that I stashed a matchbox car in the diaper bag

I am glad she ok. I also hate tramplins. I know one of my sibblings broke their foot on one. I just think they are so dangerous. The previous owners left theirs and I keep nagging Dh to take it down and get rid of it.
