Seperated, they went to consouling and are doing great now..

This is no different then what many people do... Paterson's family is just in the spotlight at the moment

That's how I feel. I operate under the assumption that all men who are rich or poweful (CEO's of major corps, actors, prof. athletes, politicians) cheat. They aren't married to me- so why should it bother me?
As long as the politicians aren't paying for it, I don't care.
ETA: For some reason, I think Bill Gates is an exception to that rule. I just don't see it.

Speaking to the Daily News shortly after Paterson's swearing-in ceremony, the couple discussed his affair with "a woman other than my wife" from 1999 until 2001.

I don't know much about him. All I hear has been positive.
i believe that he is more liberal in many aspects than spitzer or previous governors, especially when it comes to taxes, and that may raise red flags for some... this was discussed in a previous thread about spitzer.
