Honestly, I have way more important reservations / concerns about Paterson than his affair...
What are they?
I don't know much about him. All I hear has been positive.
i believe that he is more liberal in many aspects than spitzer or previous governors, especially when it comes to taxes, and that may raise red flags for some... this was discussed in a previous thread about spitzer.

The best defense is an offense. Very clever move on his part. Maybe he can actually get to work on the Budget and the state issues rather than sweat the media.
i agree i think he probably figured it would come out eventually because these things always do, better to confront it head on, its known between both of them, they both had affairs, and move on, i don't care what he did as long as he didn't use public money to take her out and pay for hotel rooms,

If the rest of the family's dirt was published he'd be in trouble!
David Paterson is my cousin......His grandmother and my grandmother were first cousins!
His sense of humor is SO my Father's side of the family and NO he has no idea who I am (His 3rd cousin I believe) but his Father and my uncle were in touch up until a few years ago...
I'm actually glad he came out with it NOW and didn't wait either that was a good strategy.

I think people that govern should have good moral values I know that is crazy thought these days. BUT everyone makes mistakes and I actually think its better he came out with it than the news being reported first by the post & making it more scandalous than it is. Hopefully he is a good governor in the end thats what matters.

besides being NONE OF ANYONE'S BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!!
