Our WDW vacation w/ a review and pics for those who asked....long
We're back! We had a fabulous trip - with a minor snafu in the end (both girls got the stomach flu- one sunday night and the other the next morning that we were flying home).
We stayed at the Polynesian resort which was SO easy. We didn't get a rental car this time - so we took Magical Express which was very easy - but it took a while to get to our resort. The monorail was great to have b.c we could just roll the stroller right onto it and not have to pack it up and unpack the stroller and everything to get on and off the buses. We did take the buses once to get to Hollywood studios and once to get to the Animal Kingdom and one night the monorail was hit by lightening while we were in EPCOT so we had to take a bus back. It was fine but a bit of a pain with the stroller and 2 girls under 3.
Both girls LOVED the characters and had a great time (Kaitlyn will be 3 on Father's Day and Madelyn turned one on 5/23 while we were down there). In fact I think we did almost all the meet and greets and really met a TON of characters. If you have a child around 3 be prepared to see the characters. Once we realized that our DD wasn't happy doing rides until she met certain people we planned in advance for them. We met a lot of parents who said they didn't plan ahead and their 3 and 4 year olds wouldn't go or do anything until they met certain characters so they hadn't prepared for it. Both girls did great with the rides - but DD#2 wasn't crazy about the shows or movies. We got to do a LOT of rides and meet and greets - bc we planned it out in advance and then were fairly flexible. We spoke to many families however who said that they didn't plan very much and couldn't get into any restaurants and saw very little b.c the lines were too long and wished they had taken a little time to plan better.

- We were supposed to do 1900 Park Faire - the 1st night but the girls didn't nap on the flight and were cranky so we didn't push it. We ended up not going to coral reef either. We missed the Ohana breakfast the last morning b.c the girls were sick.
We had an amazing trip - Kaitlyn was hysterical - she was telling all the characters all week that her sister was turning one - and introducing Madelyn to them - or if she was sleeping pointing her out to them. It was really cute.
The weather was VERY hot and humid all week (89-91) but really no rain - it only rained 2 times for 10 mins and neither time had any effect on us the 10 days we were down there.
If anyone has any questions and wants any tips I would be happy to share them!! Here are some pictures and a link to even more.

We took a LOT of photopass photos - so that is a link to some of them - if you go you can preorder the CD and get $50 off the price - the pictures are $14.95 PER picture - - BUT you can put something like 300 or so photos onto it and then once you get the CD you can take it anywhere to get it developed (shutterfly, walgreens, mpix). So if you buy it make sure you take a TON of photos (if you take I think more than 10 it is cheaper to do the CD.

Looks like a great time!!! Sorry your girls got sick! I did want to ask, how long did it take to get to the poly on the magical express (I know you said a long time) Thanks for the review!

Great pics! Looks like you all had a lot of fun!
ooh you are making me excited for my trip (more than I already am) with my DD (just 3yrs) and DS (will be almost 2)
I sure hope they go up to the characters like your kiddos did! I have a fear they are going to be in fear!

We got off the plane at 2pm exactly - put the girls into the stroller and went directly to Magical express - we got in line and had to wait a while. The bus ride is about 30 mins WITHOUT stops. The bus driver announced we were going 1st to the Polynesian then about 1/2 on the ride said the people in the front are begging to go 1st to the Wilderness lodge so we are going in a different order sorry folks (the people around us think they bribed him) so we stopped at the WL, then the contemporary THEN the poly - so it took about 90 mins to get to the resort- the bus ride was about 45-50 mins long - the rest of that time was the walk from the plane to the ME area (about 10 mins) and the wait in line to get on the bus.
Coming back we only stopped at the Grand Floridian. We had a 1245 pick up- and got to the airport at 145.

We have to see if we can afford to do it again so soon - but DH wants to go this time in a cooler and less crowded time. Maybe Nov or Dec 2011 or Feb 2012. IF not than early May this time - b.c it was much more crowded this trip than our last 4 trips we had taken in the past.
