I would like to see what the big deal about Sonic is. My brother talks about it like it's a god.

I wish cracker barrel was on LI. I love going there. And it is better and cheaper than the diners here IMO.

Re: out of ny area what restaurants
they had something called wok & walk in amsterdam that was pure genius. it was sort of a chipotle for asian noodle dishes where you picked you protein, veggies, sauce, and noodle on an assembly line and they hand it to you in a giant chinese food carton with chopsticks. they also had thai chili oil on all the tables for spice...mmmmmmmmmm.

Re: out of ny area what restaurants
I wish wish wish there was a Cracker Barrel on LI. We go to the Pennsylvania Dutch country every year and we eat breakfast there every time. The breakfasts there are soooo good, best blueberry pancakes I've ever had, also the grits are incredible, the biscuits with gravy too. Also I love the cheesy "country store" gift shop they have when you walk in!
