Over the stove microwave/hood combo
Do they work?
We are in VERY early planning of redoing the kitchen down the line and we have a very small L shape kitchen. I saw those over the stove microwave with fan combo to replace the hood.
Do they work?
Any feedback?

Our microwave is above the oven and it has a light and fan for low/high. It works well, but it would work better if the vent could be aired through the roof, rather than recirculated air. Only if the current vent is on an outside wall to be vented outside can this occur, tho.
I'd recommend it for just the fact that it saves counter space.

ITA. We have a similar setup to what the PP mentioned. I barely use my microwave anyway, and I love the extra counterspace.
