Overalls on Boys....Yay or Nay?
I used to think they were kinda "dated" and didnt buy any ( cept short ones) for Noah. But he has a hand me down pair on today and looks adorable.
Just wondering If Im the only insane fashion police like mom who wonders about these things? LOL!

I'm a Yay. I don't dress my son cuetsy at all, but for some reason I love him in overalls, I think they're so cute. This season he has one pair of black corduroy ones.

I love overalls on kids. I have some for DD and I love them on boys too. They are just so cute. There is only a small window of time when they can wear them before potty training and then they become too old and don't want to wear them. Go for it now!

Love overalls on boys! I used to buy them for anyone I knew who had just had a boy. But then I heard from a few moms that they're a PIA when changing them...so I stopped that purchase, but I LOVE how they look!!

He did not wear them much. But there are cute.
I have a barely used one for you if you want it. It's 12-18 months, denim and lined for warmth. Too small for EJ. It was too big last winter and too small this winter.

I am a nay. But I also don't like onsies so definitely do not go by me
(For the record his "emergency" outfit at school is an overall set, so I am not 100% opposed. It made the most sense for something to keep there long-term & still be able to fit!)

I like them on other boys but not my own... if that makes sense
I never liked them on Nikolas when he was a baby, because they always 'bunched up' on him... not sure if I'm explaining it correctly but they just looked messy and never seemed to fit him right ( he was sooo chubby as a baby that I thought it made him look chubbier ) After he turned 1 and slimmed down a bit I put him in them a couple times and they did look better. Last Christmas I put him in black overalls with a red plaid shirt underneath for pictures, and this summer we had short overalls that someone gave him and both were cute.. but I still find that I don't prefer them over other outfits..
So while I do like the look, I find that I just never think to buy them for my son. We generally stick to tops/sweaters and jeans/pants around here..

The thing witht he overalls is that they are only good after they start walking. Because when they are only crawly or not even crawling, all they do is eat the bib part and they don't sit right on them. Once they start walking, they are much more practical (if they get too short, just loosen the top and voila, the pants are no longer too short )

that is what I was trying to say but Steph said it better!
I could never put DS in them as a baby... it was after he started walking that I dressed him in them a few times, and it looked way cuter

Depends on how old but generally a nay for me.
When they're infants, they teeth on the sides & the overalls ride up so high it's over their chin.
When they're toddlers, it's cute for photos but in general I'm not a fan of everyday wearing them.
