I wouldn't wear it. I don't think it's a very flattering cut at all. I don't even think someone really skinny would look good in it.

If you love it and you're comfortable, wear it! No one will be talking about your arms.....if anyone does, they need to get a life.

Those maxi dresses are in--and the turquoise is hot!

Re: Overweight and wearing this dress...

as much as I love maxi dresses and have bought a few lately, I feel they do make you look bigger than you are, for some reason they make my boobs look huuuuuge, which they aren't small to begin with and just the draping on it makes me lose myself in it...

I think it looks kinda like a nightgown... so big or small, I'd say skip it.

I think that's one of those things that only looks decent (and not even 'good') on someone who's tall and very thin .........

Re: Overweight and wearing this dress...

I think it is a beautiful dress. I love the style and the color.

I am done scrutinizing my body. If I like article of clothing, I am going to wear it. Obviously it has to fit, but if I have a jigggle here or there, I'm not going to let it stop me.

Re: Overweight and wearing this dress...

I think it depends how you are built. If, as you are saying, your arms are big, then this dress will accentuate that. You might do better with a dress that is more revealing in other places and does not leave your arms as the only bare area. I love the color and material, but I am not sure about the cut.

I agree. ESPECIALLY after having a baby, the last thing I would want to wear is something like this.

There are a lot of styles I love that just don't work for my body - and while no one would ever consider me overweight, I have very broad shoulders so can look bigger in certain styles.

A sleeveless dress would be fine, but maybe something with a more fitting cut - there are many flattering styles out there!!!

No way. Not because of the arms showing. It's just unflattering.

i agree. I am about 30 lbs overweight and I tried on a similiar dress at old navy and it was so unflattering. I think you have to be a stick to NOT look fat in that dress
