Oxford Freedom Plan Question
My DH and I are currently under GHI through my employer. This covers me for 3 IVF cycles, but we just used one. I now want to pick up DH's insurance, so we wil have more in the event the next two IVF cycles fail and we can only pick it up during open enrollment. Mine will be primary because my birthday is first. Does anyone have Oxford Freedom Plan? I know I have a $10,000 limit. Do you know what they cover? Do they cover injectibles? I'm just getting nervous and need as much information as possible.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Oxford Freedom Plan Question
I have Oxford Freedom Plan but I only have basic IF coverage. As our company is small (less than 50 employees). So, my experience probably wont help you. But, I get all my meds covered and all my b/s and u/s in an IVF cycle covered. It includes IUI's but not IVF's but they cover the same b/w and u/s in my IVF cycles. I know Oxford does discounts with clinics etc... so it might also make a difference if you call your RE's office and talk to billing. They might know more.

Re: Oxford Freedom Plan Question
Thanks so much. I emailed billing and called Oxford. I hope to have more information in the next couple of days. I don't think it can hurt to have both insurances??

Re: Oxford Freedom Plan Question
I have Oxford Freedom and didnt realize I had 'advanced IF coverage" until I started going thru all of this
I have a $10,000 limit and your meds are covered..Gonal F is whats covered not Follistim.
You need to be pre certified for both IVF and the Gonal bc for some reason out of all the meds thats the one they require the certification. The rest like the Menopur, Anarelix are all covered as well.

Do all of those meds come out of the $10,000 or is it under regular prescription? TIA!

Re: Oxford Freedom Plan Question
Im almost positive it is seperate from the $10,000...The billing sheet they gave me has the $10,000 for IVF and at the bottom is says medications as Prescribed and thats covered from $2,000 to $6,000

Re: Oxford Freedom Plan Question
For me, everything IUI was covered and didn't count toward the $10K lifetime. The $10K was for "advanced" infertility treatments (IVF). Just double check w/ Oxford bc everyone's plan can be different. HTH!
