Re: P/T Holiday retail job

I know the Kohl's I work in is looking for "baggers" to work the check out. All you do is bag the products people are buying, nothing else. They need people Weds, Fri, Sat & Sun. You don't have to work all those days but those are the only days they need people.

If you want more info, let me know.

I hated HATED retail... I worked in filenes while I was an undergrad Chat Icon It was a zoo this time of year

one thing to consider:
being pregnant (congrats Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon ) , how do you think you'll do standing up for over 8 hours a day either cleaning or at a register? If it were me, I'd probably get swollen ankles by the time I was in month #6... Chat Icon

Re: P/T Holiday retail job

I worked at JCPenneys one holiday season. This was about 5 years ago. I worked Fine Jewelry. I was paid $7 or $7.50/hour and 5% commission on everything I sold. My commission was more than my pay. And being my first job, I was drooling over the paycheck. It was like $800+ for 2 weeks, part time hours (don't remember how many exactly).

I teach craft classes at Michaels, you don't need to be an expert at anything. I get paid the crappy hourly wage plus commission based on my class size.
My mom worked as a bagger in Kohls a couple of years ago, she got awesome discounts, but she said it was exhausting.
