Pack N Play/Bassinet question...
We are planning to use the pack n play as a bassinet for the first month or so in our bedroom as well as for naps during the day etc. I was wondering if you guys would recommend a certain pack n play since the baby will be sleeping in it at night or if you think any will be ok? TIA!

Re: Pack N Play/Bassinet question...
We planned to have DD sleep in the PNP bassient, however, she had/has other ideas and has actually not slept in it for over a week now.. she just screams and only wants to be held or will sleep for a couple of hours in the glider bassient my friend loaned me. Starting tonight, we have a baby nurse and she will start sleeping in her crib (hopefully).
I think it's perfectly fine to have your DC sleep in the PNP for the first couple of months. That was my original plan. I think any is okay as long as it has the bassient part.

Re: Pack N Play/Bassinet question...
thanks! I was just wondering b/c I saw some come with a little newborn sleepy thing and was wondering if those were better if you plan to have them sleep in it through the night. But for some reason the ones that come with that don't come with a mobile. Not sure how important that is...

But for some reason the ones that come with that don't come with a mobile. Not sure how important that is... I posted on pregnancy board about this(with picture and website). We have Eddie Bower travel P&P /playyard. It comes with a bassinet and a little diaper changing thingy(not sure what you call it) that can also be used as a newborn sleepy thing(maybe that's what it's for, not sure, lol) . That's what we used for first month or 2 and it was the only place DD would sleep. We started putting DD in the crib just for naps at 4 months and by 5 months she was sleeping there at night too . We did keep the P&P in our BR just in case she was having a bad night.

Re: Pack N Play/Bassinet question...
I have the Chicco PNP and it's great, very good quality. Mine came with a mobile but we never used it. DS prefers the mobiles that move and play music. We are going on 4 months and still use it for naps and as a changing area during the day.

Re: Pack N Play/Bassinet question...
I have a graco pnp... i liked it because the changing table part sits directly on the frame... not hanging over the edge or in the air... however... i found my ds laying under this portion during a nap in the bassinet portion.... i neve really used the bassient portion for anything except holding stuff for the changing table...as for sleeping in our room... joey is a VERY noisy sleeper and we decided after week two that there is no reason that we should both be up every hour for feedings... by having him in the crib atleast we could split the feedings and one of us could get a solid 2 hours at a time...
