Pack N Play Question And Weight Limit--Need Advice

I am confused ladies! My Mom still puts my DD in her pack n play to nap on the top part (bassinet). She is also 24lbs at 9 MOS.

I was just looking the pack and plays up and it say do not put babies in the bassinet that exceed 15lbsChat Icon. Could this be correct? I always thought the pack n play was for mobile use (if you travel somewhere) til a baby is a couple years old, no????

You should lower the mattress to the bottom and then it will be perfectly safe. With the mattress up top-your DD could fall out just by getting up on her knees. That part is really only for small babies who don't move much.

my twins would be jumping out of the bassinet so fast! You absolutely have to lower it, the top part is only for infants.

Yes, the pack and play is for use for a while, but not in the capacity that you are using it. You need to lower the mattress to the bottom and then she will be perfectly fine. My DS is 2 and still sleeps in a pnp when we go away.

We took the bassinet out around 4.5 months--we still use the Pack n Play with our 18 month old (he's 23 pounds), but he stays in the bottom portion, with the bassinet removed.

I would take it out ASAP--it's easy for her to fall out at this point.
