Paint color for basement? Please help!
Hello everyone,
My husband and I (who both have terrible color coordination) are having our basement finished. We selected the following carpet:
Now we have to pick a color for the walls- since there isn't much natural light, we wanted something light and airy.
We were thinking light yellow, light blue, or light green. Does anyone have any suggestions????

I'd go with a neutral light brown or taupe-ish kind of thing, or if yellow then do a very pale yellow...

check out the color I just posted in my "LR Redo Mood Board" post, its Firefly by Benjamin Moore.
I definitely would not do the blue though.

totally agree with Melissa. Love Firefly. And if you don't like that I would go with a very pale yellow or light tan. A blue or green just wouldn't look good.

weve used eddie bauer by valspar in bamboo before, and I think it would also go.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! We are so bad at this- it really helps to hear all of your ideas. How do I find the Roasted Garlic color? I was looking on the Valspar website, but couldn't find it.

I would do a light tan, I think any other color might be too much color

Hello All,
Thanks for all of your advice and input! My DH and I went to Lowe's and picked a Valspar seaside retreat Cocoa Butter color sample as our favorite. I can't figure out how to display it here, but it is a very light tan/cream color, with a little bit of yellow in it.
I am sure I will be back for furniture and decorating advice!
