FYI, the jeweler told me if you are going to buy a few charms to begin with, buy an odd number as it will look more 'finished' than an even # of charms.
hmm...interesting..I wonder why that is....

Also check out Chamilla. Apparently he and Pandora are brothers who made two companies. Although I love my Pandora,...I got my mother a Chamilla for M-Day because the charms are adorable!
The Chamillia charms/beads are a little more sparlkly and less chunky than Pandora. They really are beautiful and the same prices as Pandora.

Re: Pandora Bracelets...advice/tips/sugg
DH bought me a Pandora for Christmas and managed to fill it up completely by Valentine's day, which basically defeated the purpose, as sweet as he was trying to be.
My opinion on it is that you get different charms for different occasions. Holidays, birthdays, births, etc. So now I have a full bracelet and want more charms
I started a necklace but, seriously, you can't put too many charms on there unless you want your head hanging down to your knees, they can get heavy!
But 2 recommendations. The clips, you don't want your charms moving all over. And the stopper at the ends, when I'd take off my bracelet, inevitably, a charm would fall off. Get the stopper with the chain, totally worth it.
Never wear your bracelet in the shower. Not supposed to get wet!

Really? I never take mine off...even for swimming. It's fine and I've had it almost 2 years.

Re: Pandora Bracelets...advice/tips/sugg
The beads get very pricey. My girlfriends who live in CT bought a bracelet for me 3 years ago (they were big up in CT before they made it big here on LI). They started out with giving me 1 charm - the chinese symbol for friendship. They bought bracelets for all 4 of us at the time and the same one charm. Each year for Christmas and our "birthday" get together, we each pick a name and buys a charm for that person. We love our little girl bonding ritual.
