 after all the debate on the abortion and BC threads about attacks on womens rights, etc., i am really shocked that you all find that funny. if anything, that is a slap in the face outright. it's right there in print: your job as a woman is the laundry. I mean, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, as my husband does his own damn laundry. But i just think it's pretty ironic.
I dont take it as a slap in the face-I take it for what it is. A marketing ploy not well received. Look at Dr. Pepper's commercial-"It"s not for women". Some would consider this to be sexist but those with a sense of humor will get the joke. And clearly by the ad not being pulled-most of society got the joke.
There are some things that are clearly offensive and an attack on women's rights but this I dont consider to be a big deal-but JMO. I will now go chuckle at its silliness.

like i said, i won't lose sleep over it. but don't you think some would say that's it's little things like this, or the doctor pepper commercial that plant little seeds in peoples heads, therefor making men the more superior? like a quiet message, sort of like, well if this is acceptable to put on jeans, and women think it's funny, then they really are ok with being a little subservient to men........just suprised at the amount of people that actually think it's funny, that's all. and like someone said, you could always not buy them if you disagreed with the label. i mean with all the fighting that we do for womens rights, this little joke seems to be a little bit of a step back.
