No sorry but I have to say that I love Papa Johns. I am glad they are starting to open up here. Its the only pizza I would eat when I lived in Florida.

No sorry but I have to say that I love Papa Johns. I am glad they are starting to open up here. Its the only pizza I would eat when I lived in Florida.
DH and I were wondering. I've never had Papa John's, but sadly I love Pizza Hut, so I'm hoping I would love Papa Johns. Its gonna be sooo close to my condo!

I am shocked anyone in NY could be excited about his place opening!  We don't live in NY anymore and it kills me to eat this pre fab pizza. OMG blech!
That being said of the chains to choose from it isn't that bad but its nothing like real pizza IMO.

I agree. It's 2 totally different cravings for me.
When I want REAL pizza of course I woudln't go to these places.
But sometimes I have a craving for pizza hut or papa john's...and when that happens- real pizza won't do....
To me it's 2 different things....

There's always been a pizza parlor in there. The original owner used to have a store in the Green Market shopping area. He sold to a man named Agostino who had just come over from Italy. That was when this place was great. He gave Lombardi's a run for their money. When he graduated from college and became a language professor he sold the store and since then it has had two owners. Now, it's becoming a Papa John's (just a little Holbrook history ). The one BIG thing in its' favor is that they will deliver. There aren't too many places in Holbrook that do (Domino's, Carlo's and Sachem on Union Avenue). I think that's all of them, though, not sure. I think they should be fine.
