paper mache question

my mother always used water and flour...should I do that or buy glue?

i've always used flower and water. has never let me down!!

I used glue.

Make sure you do many thin layers and let it dry, you don't want it to get moldy from not drying all the way thru.

I am attempting to make planets with him.

so I am going to use different size balloons.

so maybe we should do one or 2 layers, let it dry over night, then 2 more, let it dry?

DH is so against me making junk for this kid's room, so I need them to come out magnificiant!

anyone have ideas on the rings of saturn?
