Parking near Yankee Stadium

We are going on Thursday night, I always feel better driving because I have work on Friday and although I'll be sitting in traffic, it's better than having to wait for the subway and the LIRR. Anyway! Is there parking near Yankee Stadium? I'm sure there is, but what I'm asking is where can you reccommend parking? Thanks!!!

There's tons of lots and garages. It depends on how far you want to walk, though. We usually end up doing the walk because the lots/garages make it easier for us to get to NJ. I've never had a problem with parking, as long as I made it to the game at least 45 minutes before first pitch. Most of the lots are on River Ave. I prefer lots to garages, cuz if you stay for the whole game, you are literally sitting in line waiting to get out. The lots are smaller, so you'd have to get there early. The garages are closer, though. There's one close to the old stadium, and a brand new one right next door to the new stadium. There's a nice new garage that opened near the whole shopping center with Home Depot and Target, but that's a walk. HTH

Thanks so much-that definately helps alot! We went to a NJ Devils game 2 weeks ago and just drove there and found a bunch of lots, but I'd rather be prepared! Every time I've gone to the stadium I've met a friend in NYC and taken the subway from there, so I've never paid attention to the parking situation! Thanks Tara!

Get there very early. If I didn't make it there at least an hour before I was stuck in silly traffic around the Stadium.

I always regretted driving.

Good advice from Susan..I forgot what that was like!!! I still have regular mid-season games in my head. Today's traffic was NOT fun and we made it to the Bronx by 11:30 and the lots looked pretty full.
