Party ?...If your DC was invited to a classmate's party that was a few towns away would you attend

I went to a place called LI Laser Bounce in Levittown today and i really liked it and was considering having DD's b'day party there but her classmates mostly live in the lindenhurst and babylon area. I was worried noone would travel a longer distance to a party of a child they hardly know. KWIM??

Do you think im crazy for thinkng a place that is further for everyone to travel? Should I do it somewhere more local and settle on a place or have it where I thought the kids would lke better.

Sounds like fun, and It dosn't seem THAT far to me. I have a friend who lives in Queens and just had a Bday party for her kiddies at Adventureland.

It's only about 20 minutes or so; not bad. But have you checked out the Lets Bounce & Party place on Wellwood ( by Outback?)

I think people would go. We had a party to go to last night in Bohemia and I live in Centereach. Wasn't a big deal at all.

I think it really depends on where the party is to how many will show. We had ours at Bouncers and Slydos - and although it was 30 mins from where everyone lives only 3 children in her class didn't make it.

I had my own DS 3rd party 30 minutes away from where we live.

I never have a problem driving long distances to take my DC to birthday parties. We will even drive from NJ to LI for a party.

I do not think that is far. I would definitely (and have) travel to go to a birthday party.

I certainly hope so. I didn't even think about that when I booked DD's birthday party. The invites are going out soon, and it's at least 1/2 hour drive for everyone that is invited - not just her school friends.

I had DS's birthday party in Huntington and we live in Commack - it's a 30 min drive for us... No one other than my SIL lives in Huntington. Everyone came - even those from Jersey, Queens, eastern LI, upstate...It was fine!

She invited 20 kids and 10 RSVP'd yes so far. The RSVP date is the 30th so she has the rest of the week to go still.....
