Party planning ?
I need to buy 2 liter bottles of soda-
How many bottle total- should I get to serve about 65-70 people?

Re: Party planning ?
Do you definitely want 2 liter bottles?
Cause Stop and Shop has Pepsi (regular and diet and other brands) 4 for $10 and a mail in rebate for $10 back - so it is all for free.
Thats what I got for Ali's Christening.

Re: Party planning ?
I would say 4 or 5 people to a bottle, but are you having beer or water too? I think more people are drinking water bottles now than soda.
I would get maybe 2 or 3 24-packs of poland spring, 15 bottles of soda, and beer.

Re: Party planning ?
Based on what I've gotten in the past I would get
14 Coke/Pepsi 6 Diet 12 Sprite 2 GingerAle
I always have leftover but not much. I hate to run out.
Last couple of parties I did not buy enough water, so many people are drinking tons of water these days. So I found that and juice boxes went more than the soda for the non drinkers.
(Note - There are about (10) 8-ounce glasses of soda in a 2-liter bottle but party cups are usually 16 ozs)

Re: Party planning ?
I think it depends on what else you're serving and what type of crowd it is. Also, how long is the party?

Re: Party planning ?
We usually go with cans. It may be a little more in the long run but less waste and hassle in IMO because you can just store unopened cans where half used bottles will just end up getting flat.
