sooo i went and saw dr. braverman last week. first off, thanks to all the girls that recommended seeing an RE, he has been great, so much better than any ob/gyn i've been to.
so he did a lot of blood tests (CD3, insulin and something specific to PCOS) and a sono. i def have PCO symptoms. my sonos from what i saw seemed borderline. my blood tests came back today - all normal EXCEPT my LH which was 21 (apparently normal is under 5).
anyway so i already did provera and Im on CD2 of this new cycle. ob/gyn prescribed clomid for this cycle, 50mg. braverman said that i am going to need to take something called (i think) dexamethasone to inhibit the LH. has anyone heard of this? i googled it and it seems like a pretty scary steroid but maybe im just a scaredy cat.
so im going back on thursday to get a prescription for it and then i think ill be doing clomid this cycle.... DH also has to get an SA which he is mega freaked out about...
anyway just wanted to know if anyone here has dealt with anything like this... i dont really want to move to the IF board yet - we have only been trying a little over 6 months and ive only O'ed once so i dont know if i qualify to be there..
