PCOS-ers... I need help...
I am totally lost as to how to calculate my CD number. On October 12th AF showed up FULL force for 5 days. Then on October 24th I was spotting (thought it may have been my month to ovulate) and then AF showed up again on the 25th... A combo of old blood and new (sorry if TMI). Doctor said it's mid-cycle bleeding due to low progesterone levels... yaddah yaddah... So... now... what CD am I on? CD 18? Or CD 5?
I called my GYN but he's not going to be in until tomorrow night... and if I am on CD5 - then I would have to start my CBEFM tomorrow... and then get the RX for Clomid for next Wednesday...
HELP!

Re: PCOS-ers... I need help...
What you got on 10/25, how long did it last?
PCOS can be tricky. I would say if what you had on 10/25 was NOT a full flow, then you are still cycling from 10/12
ETA: Also if you do have PCOS, the monitor IMO is worthless. As PCOS your hormone levels are all out of whack.

It was not heavy like AF usually is, but I needed a tampon for the first day and then a pad up until Monday.
ITA about the uselessness of the monitor... I even expressed this to my GYN... but he wants me to keep using it so I keep track of whatever I can so that when I see the IF specialist he can see what is going on. I had a +OPK in June and then nothing since then.

Re: PCOS-ers... I need help...
Then I would count today as CD5 if you had consistent bleeding. The problem with the monitor is that you may not get a peak reading, but only high readings. With PCOS you have higher than normal estrogen and LH levels which is what the monitor reads. You actually might be better off using regular OPKs. The only time I ever got a peak reading on the monitor was when I was on a medicated cycle along with a trigger shot of hcg to force ovulation.
Also, clomid is generally taken at the beginning of your cycle. Either CD3-7 or CD5-9
