PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
Has anyone with PCOS gotten pregnant without the help of clomid, IUI or IVF? Possibly with herbal remedies or just with time?

Your sister got pregnant without IUI, just on clomid?

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
It's possible to get pg naturally with PCOS if you have a mild case and happen to ovulate on your own and BD around the time you ovulate. The problem is that girls with PCOS either don't ovulate at all naturally or they ovulate very rarely. This is why they need ovulation induction drugs like Clomid.

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
I was told by my obgyn it really depends on how severe the pcos is and if your insulin resistant (which makes it more difficult). It's not going to happen "naturally" for me that is for sure, I was diagnosed with pcos at 17 and I've had problems ever since.

I did. I never had to take/do anything. my dr told me it can happen with no problem if the time is right.

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
I have PCOS but I'm a normal weight (with A LOT of exercise) and only slightly insulin resistant. I was able to get pg pretty much on my own. I was on BC pills for probably 15 years on and off (mostly on) and flutamind. When I came off my meds to TTC, I was regularly O'ing on my own from the start (cycle length was about 30 days, O'ing day 13-15). I started taking Vitex the month before I got my bfp just for the hell of it. I don't know if it helped me get pg or not but my BBT chart was much prettier at least.

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
I have a pretty moderate case of PCOS and I was able to get pregnant on my own once. It ended in a m/c (not for that reason) but I was happy I was able to! Once I miscarried I never got AF again so then I needed to be medicated.
But it CAN happen :)

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
Thank you all so much. DH and I decided to keep trying sans meds and IUI for a little while to see what happens. If needed, we'll move on one step further. One day at a time right?

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
I have slight PCOS and was able to get pregnant with 50mg of Clomid (no IUI). It was my second month of Clomid.

As long as you ovulate on your own, you have a good shot!

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
I did with both pregnancies...my cycles are so irregular but I did temping and OPK's to track when I O'd (I was Oing on my own just inconsistently). In fact this pregnancy, I O'd on CD34 or CD35 so I totally thought i was out as I thought it was to late. You just never know

Re: PCOS-Pregnant "Naturally"?
Thank you for posting that. I don't want to feel like I'm totally losing my mind by not jumping straight to IUI. We considered it, quite a bit....but I don't think I'm fully committed to taking that next step yet..I want to wait a little maybe try out clomid before moving on to bigger and stronger measures.
