Pediatrician reccomendations South shore of nassau
Hello all!
I just moved to Oceanside from Merrick and need a new pediatrician. The one I am going to now is Bellmore Merrick Pediatricas in Bellmore. Although I love the Dr. Jassey brothers I am tired of it being dirty. The waiting room is always dirty the front desk is rude and the last two times we went there the room wasn't cleaned and the Dr. didn't use gloves when looking at my daughters private area for an infection. Can someone please recommend a doctor that has good hours, very clean and doesn't doubt a mother's instinct? If you have anyone like this please let me know. I am looking for a pediatrician near Oceanside/RVC area but will go further if the Dr is right, so please let me know who you recommend. Thank you so much for your input.

I'm in Oceanside and we go to Steinfeld and Amoona in Hewlet...I cannot say enough good things about them..the staff is WONDERFUL...I can literally come in when I feel like it if g-d forbid DD is sick..they have sick visits on Saturday until 12 and I believe Sunday as well, I'm not 100 percent sure about Sunday...off hours all calls are forwarded to the dr's direct cell phones, and if they don't answer right away, which they usually do, they call back in minutes...They are a bit older which I know a lot of ppl don't like but I don't mind.. I prefer Dr. Steinfeld but I know a ton of ppl prefer Amoona bc he is a bit softer with the kids where as Steinfeld I feel is more thorough...

Baldwon Harbour Pediatrics, just on the border of Oceanside and Baldwin Harbour. Great practice, have been going there for years and know few people that go there as well. Open 7 days a week. They let you come in to interview them as well.

we go to dr vincent sena in RVC.
his office is clean and there is only one receptionist and they know us when we walk in.
there is hardly ever a wait.

I got to Dr Forgione in RVC. Love all three women that work in the office. Also heard great things about Steinfeld and Amoona. DH grew up in Oceanside and that was his Ped.

I'm in West Hempstead and I see Dr. Elissa Rubin on Jericho Tpke. in Mineola. I know it's not exactly where you were looking, but her office is always clean, her receptionist is super nice, and being a mother of a toddler herself, she has never doubted my mommy instinct. My lactation consultant recommended her and I love her! Here's her website

I went to Dr. Amoona and Steinfeld when I was a kid! I always remember Amoona being the "nicer" one- but my parents loved Steinfeld too. We are expecting our LO in Oct and may check out the practice.

I went to Dr. Amoona and Steinfeld when I was a kid! I always remember Amoona being the "nicer" one- but my parents loved Steinfeld too. We are expecting our LO in Oct and may check out the practice.
u def should...i love them, they're clean, sweet and really accomodating!!!

I agree. All 3 doctors and the PA are great and they are extremely accommodating to your schedule. Any time I had an "emergency" or DS was sick they had me in within an hour. Cannot say enough great things about this practice.

I highly recommend Dr. Lisa Forgione in RVC. She is in practice with two other women, Dr. Fusco and Dr. Peloso. She came highly recommend by my OB/GYN (he brings his three girls there). She is also the cousin of my husband’s best friend since childhood. I didn’t even know this when she was recommended by my OB. She is a wonderful doctor. She listens, takes time to answer all questions and doesn’t rush you at all. She’s straight to the point, while being compassionate at the same time. She’s great with kids. They are open 6 days a week. Sick appointments only on Saturday. Closed Sunday, but you can call if there is an emergency and one of the doctors will call you back. I make our regular appointments with Dr. Forgione, but if Thomas is sick, we see whoever is there at that time. I love the other two doctors as well. Extremely compassionate and great with kids. They have evening hours, until about 6. I have never had a problem getting an appointment to be seen same day if Thomas was sick. If I get a call from daycare that Thomas is sick, I can pick him up and bring him right in around 5 – 6 p.m. They don’t have separate waiting rooms, but they take newborns in to an examining room immediately. Their office is on North Village Avenue on the second floor. They have elevator, but if you park in the back lot it is easier to walk up the one flight of steps (just a little bit of a workout when lugging a car seat or toddler!) I travel from Massapequa to RVC for this practice. I highly, highly recommend them. Please let me know if you have any questions!

This where we go too. I love Dr. Jetter!!! I always get callbacks within 30 minutes and they always have someone in, even if its a holiday. And, she is so kind, and patient, and understanding - even when I called the emergency line at 11PM one night bc my newborn wouldn't stop crying.
