Re: Pediatrician seperate well - sick waiting room?
Not anymore. They re-did the office and waiting room and made the waiting room a bit smaller and took away the corner reserved for sick kids. However, there are benches out in the hall way alcove you can sit and be called for if your more comfortable that way. Doesn't really bother me, my kids are older now.

Re: Pediatrician seperate well - sick waiting room?
Ours is separated by a wall, but is not separate rooms.

yes - and they have a baby room for babies under 6 months or so.
The first practice we took Christopher to when we still lived on Staten Island had this and it was great because it was a HUGE practice.
My current office is way smaller, so they just have the newborns (under a year) wait in the exam rooms.

Re: Pediatrician seperate well - sick waiting room?
They have 2 separate waiting rooms and then they have a separte entrance for when children have really contagious things. When my dd had cox sakie we had to go through that entrance.
Oh and they try to book all newborn well visits before 9:30am to get them in before the sick kids start to come in

Yes, my kids go to two different places, and both have a sick and a well area.

Re: Pediatrician seperate well - sick waiting room?
It's all in one area, which i hate but DD's dr. was my dr. when i was younger and i wouldnt trust her with anyone else. But we are usually in and out in a matter of mins.

Sick to the left, well to the right. But there are no walls between them.

Re: Pediatrician seperate well - sick waiting room?
My old ped seperated the waiting room into well and sick( with no divider.) Of course the toy traveled back and forth and never looked clean. The wait was anywhere between and 45 min to 1.5 hrs.
My new ped has one small waiting room, but the wait is never long and I am always pretty much alone in the waiting room. Love my new doc.
