people familiar with UPS
UPDATE- It arrived in NJ this morning. holy long shipping. i am just disappointed with the amount of time it is taking because of what is STATED on their website and when i called stressing how i needed the product in a timely fashion.
is this normal? I ordered an item from california on Sunday...it shipped out tuesday and the tracking through UPS has stayed the same since Tuesday. here is what it says (its been 5 days) is this normal? should i consider the item lost?? the company i ordered from has been less than helpful and i'm getting impatient.

i would give it a few days....DH just recieved a package today that has said the same departure scan for a week. it still says it yet we have the package

They don't always update their site. BTDT from work experience.
If it is ground shipment and it shipped on Tuesday, you would probably only get it on Monday or Tuesday.

Same with me! I ordered a carriage on Amazon and they're usually so quick, and when I try to track it, the last thing they have is from Feb. 17. Frustrating!

UPS annoys the CRAP out of me
What does it say for the estimated delivery date? That is the day you will get it,even ifit shipped early or whatnot

I've had packages delivered to me already and the USPS site only says "shipping information received" because they are so far behind.

If it is coming from Cali. and it is ground shipping then maybe there is a delay due to snow in the mid-west.

I think it depends on what type of shipping it was. I think it would be normal if it was a ground shipment which is usually 7-10 days.

I have a corporate UPS account and ship every day and have a lot of experience with UPS.
UPS transit time from California is 4-5 business days.
It is likely you will either see scans tonight, or first thing Monday morning.
If you don't see any updated scans by Tuesday evening, call UPS and ask them to put a tracer on it.

USPS does not have tracking. It's crappy delivery confirmation and unless the package gets scanned at pickup, you won't see any further scans until it's delivered.
