People just amaze me
Last week as I got off the highway to go to my moms house, I see this long haired chihuahua walking down the street. I thought it was with someone, but when I did a double take, I noticed that there was no leash and the person I saw had already turned the corner. There was no one else on the block.
I pull the car over to see if the dog had any tags.
I put my hand out to see if the dog would come to me. it looked at me for a bit and backed away. It had no leash, tags or COLLAR!
I had some dog treats in the car, but by the time I went to get them, the dog already went around the corner.
THIS IS A BUSY STREET, so I was really worried.
I get in the car and drive around the block.
I see the dog. About 50 feet in front of the dog is a woman on a cell phone.
I roll down my window and ask if this is her dog.
She turns around, looks at the dog and says "oh yeah" like nothing was wrong.
***???
It took everything in me not to curse this lady out, but I refrained because people are crazy these days.
Who the hell:
A. walks their dog off leash on a busy street
B. walks their dog with no collar
C. Walks so far ahead of the dog that your not even on the same block
D. Talks on a cell phone while doing all of that
Lady I almost took your dog to a shelter!
What if it ran in the street and got hit by a car?
You wouldnt even know because you are so deep in your conversation, you didnt notice your dog was on the block behind you?
I swear, I wanted to take that dog away from her. I wish I never asked her if it was her dog. She probably wouldnt have notice it was gone.

She probably wouldn't have even noticed if you took her dog! It kind of reminds me of a news bit I saw on abc news yesterday. A woman left a bunch of dogs in her car with the windows closed and the neighbors on that street saw this, broke in to the car and put the dogs on leashes and gave them water. The woman came back and tried taking her dogs back and the neighbors told her that her dogs would be dead if it wasn't for them. I was really touched by the story

The same idiots who let their LITTLE children walk around stores by themselves or like 20 feet ahead of them in the mall and then cry that someone abducted them.
Grrrr... I hate when people don't use their heads.
