permit for shed?
DH and I want to get a shed in our backyard. I am in TOH... do you need a permit for this? My BIL said you should not need one because its not considered a permanent structure but i thought i'd ask on here if anyone has put up a shed before... TIA!

Re: permit for shed?
I am pretty certain that as long as it is 10x10, no permit is needed. Of course, towns can be picky..so it's best to call and ask anyway.
What kind of shed are you thinking of getting?

Re: permit for shed?
I am in the TOH and was told when I bought my house that as long as it is not built with a concrete slab it is not considered a permanent structure. Mine does not have a concrete slab underneath and I did not need a c of o.

Re: permit for shed?
In TOBAY you need a permit for a 10x10 shed on a slab. The previous owners of our home had one on a slab, but did not have a permit. We told them to take it. We did not want to deal with permits, c/o's or taxes.
