Re: Personal Q: Birth Control
One of my best friends uses the Nuvaring and loves it. Another friend uses the BC patch and is a huge fan. It's great b/c you don't have to remember to rake something each day; they're both just kind of there, KWIM?

Re: Personal Q: Birth Control
ME- I use Nuvaring!
Best BC I have been on and esp since I have been on since I was 19, to regulate me and also for the severe PMS I dealt with.
I would forget the pill, constantly..and would get sick for doubling up. Then came the patch. It was good, except that it would come off and be in areas that would be seen.
No side effects, comes out..two/three days later- AF and its like clockwork.
A little TMI though: During ahem, you know...your partner may tend to feel it and it can be a little distracting..or come out. Not all the time.

Re: Personal Q: Birth Control
I have a close friend who uses an IUD, and she has not had children yet. I'm not sure which type she uses, but it can't hurt to ask your doctor.

I heard that from somebody else also. She also said the IUD was painful when inserted. I think she had Mirena

Re: Personal Q: Birth Control
I used NR for few months and I HATED IT. Too many side affects like night sweats and irritability/terrible mood swings and I know most NR users have the same problems. But I guess you have to try and see. Yes you can use IUD even if you haven't had children yet, but you need to talk to a dr about it. There is 2 kinds of IUD hormonal like Mirena and non hormonal like CopperT . I'm sure your dr will help you choose the one that's suitable for you.
