Pets & allergies gone bad

Anyone find out they have allergies AFTER having a pet?

I never had bad allergies, just seasonal

After having a baby, its changed...we've had our dogs for 5 years and I have no intent on getting rid of them

Anyways, when I get sick now (a cold or a sinus infection) I cough so badly I throw up

Its been happening for a year now and its getting worse every time...

I saw a GI doc, who then sent me to an allergist, who sent me to an ENT...who I'm still going to see and the allergist said I should go back to the GI

Anyone deal with anything like this? I'm not even 100% sure this reaction is all related to the allergies/dogs...maybe its a problem with my GI system

I bet it's unrelated to the dogs. Doesn't sound like it is at all. Probably just related to having a baby. It really changes your body.

I had this in college (I wont go into how I was when I coughed). i am pretty sure they diagnosed it as a throat infection. Trachyitis...the base of my trachea was inflamed and when i would cough it would close up thus causing me in essence to choke and then throw up. Antibiotics worked.
