Physical Therapist Job Market
Can anyone offer some guidance? DH is considering going back to school for a PT degree. How is the LI job market for this position? Is it a doctorate degree or are there different certifications at the bachelors/masters level?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can find out because I have a PT dept in my program through one of NS/LIJ outpatient programs.
I suspect just being male could also up his chances of finding a job.
Our only male staff in fact is a PT (or maybe PT assistant at the moment) and I know the dept advocated getting some male blood in there for awhile.
It seems like it is a female-dominated field.

Interesting! I work for a law firm that represents medical providers, PT's included and we don't have a single female PT client! They're all male!

Its a really tough program but there is always a need for PT's, especially good ones!
