Picnic Ideas
My dh bought me a whole picnic set for Mother's Day, which I love! Does anyone have any fun ideas for things we could pack for picnics? We are foodies, so we'll eat almost anything!

Re: Picnic Ideas
I'll cut cheese slices and bring some crackers. Hummus, too!
Grapes/Berries
Sandwiches (pesto, cheese, lettuce, tomato on fresh bread)
crudites (cucumber, broccoli, cherry toms with hummus or dip)

Re: Picnic Ideas
I always make a Spanish Omlette (Tortilla) and bring it along cold. One of my favorites. I also like cold chicken salads.
You can make any number of nice things with puff pastry that are nice for a picnic!

Re: Picnic Ideas
Thanks! Any other ideas?
We went to our favorite sandwich shop today for gourmet sandwiches, but for what we spent, we could pack a really gourmet lunch!

Re: Picnic Ideas
Italian meats, cheeses, olives, roasted peppers, sundried tomatoes and fresh crusty italian bread or french baguette. Had a picnic with friends recently and this is what we packed. For dessert we had grapes, assorted berries and home baked cookies.
